Kate Kunkel Bailey is a Minneapolis-based licensed acupuncturist who believes that optimal health involves not just our bodies and minds, but our relationship with our communities and the environment in which we live. They strive to maintain a clinical approach that is collaborative, gentle and trauma-informed.
Kate particularly enjoys treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal issues (including chronic back, hip, shoulder, and knee pain); hormonal challenges (including gender supportive care, sexual health, menstrual issues, perimenopause, and menopause); and sleep struggles. They believe that acupuncture is most effective as an integrative modality, and they enjoy working with other providers to coordinate care for quality integrative treatment.
Kate’s hope is that they are able to learn more each day about creating whole-person-focused health care that is not only effective but accessible, kind, and just.
Kate is a graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture. They are currently pursuing a doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science, and they have received training in craniosacral therapy from the Upledger Institute.
When they’re not in clinic, Kate enjoys ridiculously long hikes, urban small-space food gardening, and doting on their pets.
